T-6?: Booking a Hotel
I got up around 7:30AM EST this morning. Less than an hour later, I was on hold trying to book at hotel for my return to Canada. While I waited, I cooked with Sara, worked on some editing for a meeting later, and cared for Becca. Three hours later, the call dropped without me ever having spoken to a person.
Tull informed me that the Buffalo airport is a twenty minute drive plus a short walk away from the Canadian boarder, which I have to admit that I’m seriously considering. My Dad decided to call his Member of Parliament, and my Mom waited on hold for me as I started up my meetings for the day.
About the same time that the plan to travel via Buffalo was ironed out, my mother got through and booked me a hotel. This was, of course, non-refundable, which scuppered the plan to walk across the border and cancel the hotel.
On the plus side, after leaving Sara, my COVID-19 results came back. I’m officially negative.
