T-12: Poker Dogs
Monday was fairly boring. I worked, ate food, talked with my host while making dinner, and ran around as John Watson on the Orient express a bit more.
What I’m sure is of far more interest to everyone who I talked to on Sunday is that I finished the Poker Dogs:

To be completely honest, I’m not entirely happy with it. The chairs are out of proportion, the walls are too blue, and the black dog rather looks like a demented, oversized rat. However, I think Sara will like it because Sara is Sara and seems to prefer art with imperfections, especially if its handmade.
I think she’ll also like the joke of her second anniversary being cotton, which is what the paper is made out of. (In another time and place I might have made her a batik, but that is another type of craft entirely and Tull may have a mental break down if I start accumulating fabric and dye so soon after I started weaving and calligraphy…)
Tull says I need to practice doing more scenes, as that’s the only thing that will improve them. He’s right… but I think it would be more accurate to say that I need to paint more animals, as those are really my issue.
