It’s not the first time and it won’t be the last: I think my plans are changing. When I arrived last week, the plan was that I would stay at my current location right up until the morning Sara and I were leaving. Sara and Mike would pack the car early in the morning, and Sara would swing by and get me on the way out of town.

However, Sara has decided to mix things up a bit.

In what is hopefully a good idea, the new plans is for Mike to pick me up after work on 2/11 and take me to the Silverman house. I’ll spend the night there so I can have time on 2/12 for Sara to instruct me in the ways of Becca. Hopefully, having another adult around will also make it easier for Sara to finish off the packing.

The downside is that I will be sleeping on an air mattress, likely in the living room, so when Becca gets up in the middle of the night I’ll likely be woken up too. However, I’m thinking it may be worthwhile to avoid trying to learn all of Sara’s preferred baby patterns while also on the road.

Either way, I’ve started cancelling meetings for 2/12 onward – wish me luck!
