Day 7: 4/5 Monkeys at Home

We had a lazy start leaving Lake Havasu. Because of that, Sara started off driving and made it half way to our destination. We stopped at a gas station in California to switch, and, for the first time, everyone was wearing masks inside. (The price of gas was also ridiculous: over $4 a gallon!)

When we got to Sara’s house around 4pm EST, Mike was waiting. He was delighted to see his dog, and happily fed and changed Becca.

It took until almost 930pm EST to get dinner made, but thankfully there were no complaints. (Or none directed towards me, the cook!)

The dogs appeared VERY happy to not be in a car, but the black lab is still mostly hiding among the boxes. I think she might have a bit of doggy PTSD…
