Day 6: Monkeys at Rest
Today was lovely; I slept in until 9AM EST and got to wake up to a meal and hot tea for the first day in over a week. (I know, #firstworldproblems.) The only issue overnight was that the rooms were really cold. (To clarify, Sara’s Aunt has a lovely house with an attached suite with two bedrooms, an exercise room, and the game room. We’re staying the attached suite while the Aunt is in the main building.)
After talking to Sara this morning, we agreed to bump the thermostat in our section of the house by almost 10 degrees. Given that Becca will be napping in Sara’s room all day, it seemed better than waiting until this evening. Once it warms up, I’ll work back there so one of us can hear Becca when she wakes. (I am really feeling like a parent this week, given how much responsibility I’ve been sharing with Sara.)
Later in the afternoon Sara took a walk, while I tried to get some of the pre- return to Canada items done. I completed the ArriveCAN form, but no hotels were available to book when I looked. I sent the link to Tull and M&M to help me keep an eye out for approved hotels in Toronto. (Anyone else who wants to help, ask them for it!)
We also got a ton of clothes washed, which made us both happy as neither of us is convinced we did a perfect job sterilizing ourselves or everything we touched. Thankfully, we both feel fine, aside from the sleep deprivation.
Tomorrow, I’m looking forward to seeing Sara’s new house… as is Sara!
