Day 2: Monkeys on Ice

Today started off as expected: it was cold and there was ice on the car. Sara decided that she would drive first, since everything was covered in ice. It only lasted for about 30-45 minutes.

From that point on, I drove.

There was tons of black ice, but I knew it was there, which made it less bad, if that makes sense. However, after the first few hours, even that went away.

From there on, the ‘winter storm’ was no worse than driving in calm winter weather in Canada. We decided to push onto Kansas City to avoid multiple inches of snow at night, but aside from the length of drive, it was fine.

On the other hand, the guys decided to take a more southern route and are currently in a city that has decided to completely shut down. Ironically, we may be forced to take a rest day to ensure they stay ahead of us. 😛

When you think of it, can you pray that God continues to bless us without snow while we drive and that I keep up with the physical demands of driving all day?

(Once again, no proofreading, so, uh, good luck?)
