T-18: Granola and Fried Rice
I slept reasonably well last night, aside from the fact that the guest room faces the street. The lights from other porches combined with the street lights conspired to wake me up around 5 am. Given that I brought a sleep mask anyway, I may try using it tonight to see if I can get a full 8 hours of sleep.
I ate Cheerios for breakfast this morning, but I’m not super keen on doing that forever, so I made myself granola once the house woke up a bit more. It’s got honey and molasses in it, along with candied ginger, so I can name several people who won’t be interested in trying it. 😉
Work was as usual, except that I borrowed a laptop from my hostess since Grandma’s computer hadn’t arrived this morning. (My host picked it up from the access point, which is near the gym where she works. My presence wasn’t required, since I put her name on the package too, which was a very good idea, in retrospect.)
Having two cats around is an interesting experience. I like the company, but the noises they make in the background of calls can be annoying. I fed one of them while I was cooking fried rice because he was being annoying. -_- Thankfully, my host didn’t seem to mind when she got home.
Other than that, my usual Tuesday meetings went fairly well, despite being on another computer. There were definitely some difficulties, but it went far better than expected. My first task for tomorrow morning will be setting up Grandma’s computer, which will hopefully make everything easier.
Goodnight!
