T-16: Rapid COVID-19 Testing
Both my host and her husband decided to get a rapid COVID-19 test today. The location that was in network for them was out of appointments, so they decided to visit the Urgent Care clinic instead. However, upon discovering that it would cost over $150 each to get the test out of network, they changed their minds.
While I was working, it became apparent that they were embroiled in the GameStop shorts that have been going on for the last few days. I haven’t been asking questions, since it seems intrusive, but I hope it works out for them.
Later in the afternoon some slots opened up at an in-network COVID-19 testing site, so they headed out again to try and get the test. Several hours later they had both received a negative test result. I’m not sure how much I trust it, since I think it says more about my own COVID-19 status than the exposure from yesterday, but there is no point in quibbling.
Aside from that, it was work as usual, just with a lot more comings and goings in the background. (Oh, and the black cat got lonely enough to sit next to me and purr, which was nice.)
